Honors Thesis
Welcome to the honors thesis section of my portfolio! This is a separate section to showcase my creative process for my thesis project, completed in my senior year at Marywood University. Scroll through each category to take a look through my moodboards, sketches, and final posters!
My honors thesis, Hand-Lettered Inspirations for the Graphic Designer, explores
the combination of typography and graphic design history through a series of 10 hand-lettered posters. Each poster depicts a quote from a notable designer, modeled in the style or movement the speaker was known for creating. This project allowed me to connect my love for typography with historical movements while refining my hand-lettering skills. Through research, sketching, and moodboarding, I designed each poster using Procreate and Adobe Illustrator, dedicating 100 hours to the process. This thesis deepened my appreciation for hand-lettered typography and clarified my future career focus within graphic design.
